Our serious little girl

When the camera comes out Liza's smiles disappear and she becomes an intensely serious little girl. We think she is trying to figure out why we are behind some big black box. One afternoon we tried a photo shoot and no matter how silly either of us acted she wasn't granting her audience any smiles. One of my colleagues from work drove by, saw us acting silly and got out to help coerce smiles - still nothing! I think she's telling us early if I don't want to do it I'm not going to - god help us in her teenage years. We thought you might enjoy seeing Liza's more serious side..

Stay tuned...we are only days away from full crawling...Liza can string together several forward movements but she usually stops to play with a toy before gaining momentum.

Wow, Meg, Zoe's the exact opposite: She's TOTALLY serious until we pull the camera out and then she strikes poses and smiles. When we put the camera away, it's back to the serious business of being a baby. She NEVER smiles at strangers and it's REALLY hard to get her to laugh. Crazy! Can't wait to see video of Liza crawling....good for her! Those photos are great, though, even if they are serious!!!!! :)

So cute! And thank you for finally getting in front of the camera! I was starting to think Liza was going to wonder where you were during her first year :) She is growing so fast!!!

We don't care if she isn't smiling. Just keep taking these precious pictures. They make our day. Love that pretty dress, too.
