Circus

Liza and Bair picked me up at the airport on Saturday and we headed off to the circus in Des Moines.  It was a slow moving circus and sometimes it didn't hold Liza's attention but she had fun anyway. 

And she learned a new word for the day...souvenir!

The elephant rides were a big hit for the children and Liza enjoyed watching them. Maybe next year she'll ride.

The clowns were a big hit and their costumes were great!

   
The elephants put on a great show and Liza was so impressed that the lady was riding them.

Even though the animals were small in number (2 elephants and 5 dogs) that didn't damper Liza's spirits.  She had fun with cotton candy, her new Dora souvenir and watching the clowns run around. 

Bowling for EP's birthday

For EP's birthday we joined him and others for dinner and bowling in Newton.  This was Liza's first bowling experience and she had a great time. 

Liza had so much fun watching other people bowl and she was especially fond of Addy!

Liza helped keep Rachel entertained too!

And whenever anyone knocked down pins she loved cheering for them.

Near the end of the night we were able to get the dinosaur roller so that Liza could put her ball on top and roll it down the lane.
